Psychodynamic Therapy

That of which we are not aware, owns us.”    James Hollis

Psychodynamic Therapy is a talking therapy which draws on over a century of research on concepts such as:

  • Attachment and Early Development

  • Complex Trauma and Coping Mechanisms

  • Transference and Projection

Through conversation with a Psychodynamic Therapist these concepts, and others, allow us to :

  • Gain insight into why relational difficulties exist and persist

  • Understand self-destructive addictive and habitual patterns of behaving

  • Have a less debilitating relationship with depression or acute anxiety

  • Develop self awareness and resilience enabling meaningful change

Psychodynamic theories can also help you to understand and navigate relational and team dynamics in the workplace. I'm a Senior Associate Member of APPCIOS (The Association of Psychodynamic Practice and Counselling in Organisational Settings). Please contact me to discuss your organisational requirements.

My practice is inclusive, welcoming, and open to all identities and backgrounds.
