Louise McBride
Psychodynamic Therapy | Clinical Supervision | Relationship Counselling

Whatever your reasons for being here, you are very welcome. I provide a very safe and confidential space to people from ALL walks of life. I have considerable experience in counselling people with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds.

I am a Psychodynamic Therapist meaning I help you to gain insight into why your difficulties exist and persist. Together, we will think about your past relational experiences and how they unconsciously influence how you think, feel and behave now. If you would like more information on how I work please see the 'About Me' page.

Below are just a few of the issues I work with. If what you are needing help with isn't listed below, please do get in touch to arrange a free consultation, I may be able to help.

  •     Depression: suicidal thoughts, social isolation, self loathing, feeling empty.

  •     Anxiety: panic attacks, struggling to cope, debilitating worrying.

  •     Relationship issues: abuse, co-dependant behaviours, etc.

  •     Emotion regulation: anger, envy, jealousy, addictive behaviours.

  •     Affects of discrimination, oppression and abuse on mental health.

  • Qualified Psychodynamic Therapist | Counsellor | Clinical Supervisor.

  • Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

  • Senior Associate Member of APPCIOS (The Association for Psychodynamic Practice
and Counselling in Organisational Settings)

“I’m feeling more focused and capable of handling life than ever before. I’ve booked an appointment with my GP to start the process of moving off the anti-depressants that I’ve been on for so long. I know the road ahead wont be easy, but I feel I have the inner strength to make better choices, have difficult conversations and be comfortable in who I am. Your help and support has been essential.”
