"Process-consistent supervisors teach in a way that is experientially rich and model the approach the supervisee is trying to learn" Sarnat, Joan E.

My approach to Psychodynamic supervision is relational and egalitarian.

I believe that when supervisor and therapist bring their interpersonal conflicts and resistances into the open that the therapist-client dynamic in turn benefits from relational growth.

There is no requirement for colleagues (whether experienced therapists or students in training) to have specific training in the Psychodynamic modality. A willingness to engage in developing knowledge of Psychodynamic concepts is useful as this is the modality which informs my practice.

Our aim is to develop the capacity to consider what might be most useful for any particular client and to develop the ability to use language skillfully, and ethically, so that the client in turn deepens their capacity for self-reflection.

Psychodynamic Supervision for experienced therapists and student therapists. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
